Before you go
Can I try a class?
None of these listings advertises a trial class yet, which does not mean they refuse visitors. Ask to watch a class first (見学, kengaku) — our beginner guide has the phrases.
Is English spoken?
None of these places has confirmed English-language instruction yet, and most do not say either way. A translation app and the phrases in our beginner guide go a long way — and tell us what you find.
How current is this?
Cards marked “Checked Oct 2026” were compared with the operator's or federation's own page; the others come from third-party listings and may be out of date. Class times change with school terms and holidays, so call or message first. See how we check.
