Kendo, Iaido & Jodo in Okinawa

41 places to train · 17 municipalities · 41 checked Oct 2026

Okinawa's kendo community is organised through the prefectural federation, which publishes club lists with venues, days and phone numbers. Most clubs are youth-focused (スポーツ少年団, sports youth clubs), with adult sessions in the evening.

For beginners: Bring clean indoor shoes or go barefoot where required; clubs normally loan practice equipment to first-timers. Ask the contact whether adults can join.
