Kyokushin is full-contact: bare-knuckle strikes to the body, kicks to the head and legs, conditioning and sparring. Okinawa has several competing Kyokushin-derived organisations with branches across the island.

For beginners: Most branches run children's and general classes; the Kyokushinkaikan site invites visitors to watch. Class timetables are often posted as images, so phone or email to confirm.
